Airblue to start operation soon: Nasir (PakTribune - May 11, 2004 )

KARACHI, May 12 (Online): Director Marketing Airblue, Pakistan’s new airline, Syed Nasir Ali has said the airline will soon start its operation with initial investment of Rs 500 million on domestic routes.

The airline will be unique in its operation based on information technology, he said while addressing the opening ceremony of training workshop for the representatives of travel agents at local hotel here on Tuesday.

Operation of the Airblue will be paperless, he said adding that any person who has access to Internet can get reservation from our web-site with PNR numbers and get out the print, which is acceptable even in the airport restricted area.

The Airblue management has planned eight workshops, i.e. four in Karachi, two in Lahore and two in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. The objective of these workshops is to build understanding among all stakeholders of the airline.
