Airblue's package for students, special children

Karachi: The private sector airline, Airblue, has offered a fascinating package for children of educational institutions as well as philanthropists who may sponsor special children for air excursion.

The airline has named the package BlueSky Child Enrichment Programme which took off Sunday with a group of 15 'special children' from Ida Rieu Welfare Association, taken on one round trip to Nawabshah, a new destination added to the existing network of the airline recently along with Quetta.

The objective of the program is to develop the wonders of aviation experience and choices in career development for children in age group six years and up to senior level.

The one-day flight excursion included inflight instructions, lunch, visit to cockpit and a post-flight chat with the pilot and other staff.

The trip was sponsored by Rotarians to celebrate its 100 years of service to humanity, renewing its commitment towards ambitious goals of eradication of polio from the world and providing an opportunity to special children to experience the thrill of flying.

The Ida Rieu kids were seen off on their excursion trip to Nawabshah at Karachi airport by District Governor-elect Mohammed Faiz Kidwai, District Governor Nominees Shakil Ansari and Aziz Memon and the airline officials.

The airline AMC Suurayya Kamal, Marketing Manager Sarosh Bhatti, Manager Flight Operations Nehal Syed, Manager Abdul Khalique and others accompanied the children.

At Nawabshah airport the special children were greeted by Past President Rotary Club, Past Assistant Governor and Chairman Gift of Life. --APP
