Airblue Celebrates 8th Anniversary

ISLAMABAD: (PR): On Monday June 18, 2012, airblue celebrated the completion of eight dynamic years of operations. Raheel Ahmed, Airblue Director Commercial, stated that the airline is committed to providing its customers with quality service and value, and stressed that a competitive environment in the industry is the need of the hour.

Mr. Raheel also mentioned that the airline has plans for inducting modern widebody and turboprop aircraft into its fleet this year, adding more international routes and providing connections to major cities in Pakistan.

Airblue, a private sector airline with its head office in Islamabad, started operations in June 2004 and is Pakistan's second largest and fastest growing airline. It operates an all Airbus A320 family aircraft fleet with an average age of less than 3 years and provides scheduled air service to 10 domestic and international destinations including UAE, Muscat,, Manchester and Istanbul; airblue has been recognized in the industry for its quality and innovative services.

According to the airline management, all its aircraft have been cleared by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) according to the highest safety standards; Airblue has also received the Best Pakistani Airline award for the year 2012 from the Consumer Choice Association of Pakistan.
